MISC 2027 — Registration and proposals

An adult can send a registration request or an activity proposal through their own verified Joournals account and approved school or organisation connection. Select the school or organisation for every request, including a registration for one adult, and confirm your authority to act for it. A newly registered school or a requested membership must be approved before it can be used for a conference request.

For registration, we record the adult account reference, the approved school or organisation reference, participation choice, participant count, declarations, the information version shown, receipt status and submission time. For a proposal, we also record its title and description. Group numbers describe aggregate attendance. Do not enter pupils’ names, email addresses, ages or other identifying details. This service does not accept attachments, pupil rosters or video recordings.

Authorised conference reviewers can access requests and their review history. The request is connected to the adult’s existing account, so authorised staff can identify the adult for follow-up. Account contact details remain in the existing account service rather than being copied into a separate conference contact list. Other participants cannot see your request or the private review queue.

A received receipt means your request has been recorded. It does not confirm a place, ticket, payment or acceptance into the programme. This service does not process payment. You can see your requests and withdraw one through the conference area. Earlier individual requests remain available to their original account without an organisation being added retrospectively. Withdrawal does not automatically delete the limited administrative history.

We use these records to organise the conference, consider proposals and handle related requests. We keep them while needed for that purpose and review continued retention afterwards, including any record needed for a specific administrative or legal issue. Contact privacy@joournals.com about access, correction, withdrawal or deletion. No new public mailing list or marketing subscription follows from sending a conference request.

Joournals is operated by UTDANNINGSKONSULENTENE AS, organisation number 935 934 915, Nattlandsveien 21, 5093 Bergen, Norway. The Joournals Privacy notice explains the operator, existing service suppliers, safeguards and your rights. Conference support: hello@joournals.com. Privacy contact: privacy@joournals.com.

When a new Nature or Tomorrow Laboratory contribution, conference registration request or conference proposal is recorded, we send a routine confirmation to the verified email address on your Joournals account. The message confirms receipt for review. It does not approve publication, confirm a conference place or ticket, or subscribe you to a newsletter. Your recorded contribution or request and its current status remain available inside your account if an email is delayed or cannot be delivered.

Memberstack continues to provide account verification and password-related emails. Supabase records the submission and a limited internal confirmation record. We use our existing Brevo service to deliver the routine confirmation from Joournals, hello@joournals.com. For this message Brevo receives your verified account email address, a generic confirmation and a link to the relevant Joournals account area. We do not include your contribution text, pupil information or photograph in the message, or add you to a marketing contact list through this confirmation.
