In 2026, children and adolescents, Montessori educators and guests came together at the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo for the Montessori International Student Conference, organised with the support of UNESCO.

The conference was open to children and young people across the Montessori community, creating a shared international meeting place where different ages, countries and perspectives could come together.

And there was a lot to discover.

The programme included inspiring talks, interviews, conversations and engaging projects exploring everything from peace and global responsibility to innovation, science, space and the role children and young people can play in the world around them.

We are already looking forward to seeing what children and young people around the world will bring next.
